Please note: this information applies to students who are pursuing a degree program in the McCoy College of Business Administration. Non-business majors should refer to the college of their declared major for tuition rebate information.
Under Texas Law, Senate Bill 1907, qualified students can receive up to a $1000 tuition rebate upon graduation from Texas State University-San Marcos. If you answer YES to any of the following questions, you are NOT eligible for the rebate.
- Have you repeated, withdrawn from, or failed more than three hours of coursework?
- Have you attempted more than three hours in excess of the minimum required for your degree (usually 128 hours)?
- Did you first enroll in an institution of higher education before Fall 1997?
- Have you ever earned a baccalaureate degree prior to the degree you are currently seeking?
- Have you ever paid out-of-state tuition?
If you answered NO to all of the questions above, please submit the Tuition Rebate Form to the McCoy College of Business Advising Center in 115 McCoy Hall. Answering NO to all of these questions does not necessarily mean that you will qualify for a rebate. View and print a copy of the REBATE FORM to complete.
DEADLINE: Rebate forms can be turned in any time during the semester in which you intend to graduate. Forms must be turned in no later than the day before commencement.
Tuition Rebate Forms are processed after degrees are posted. The eligible forms are then forwarded to Financial Aid for calculation of the rebate. If you are eligible for the Tuition Rebate, you will receive a check from the Cashier's Office; if you are not eligible for the refund, you will be notified by the advising center. This process can take three to six months following graduation.
