Not Yet Admitted to Texas State | Currently Attending Texas State | Seeking Second Bachelor's Degree
Students Applying for Texas State Admission and McCoy College Admission (Not yet Admitted to Texas State)
- Make note of the admission requirements and deadlines. All application materials requested by Undergraduate Admissions must be received by the deadline. Students transferring with 30 or more semester hours must see the admission requirements for courses that must be completed in order to be considered for admission to McCoy College. If you are interested in completing a BBA at the Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC) see this link for special information (Only the CIS and management majors are offered at the RRHEC).
- Apply online at www.applytexas.org and follow procedures for admission provided by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. List your first choice major as one of the business majors. The Apply Texas application serves as both the application to Texas State and McCoy College for students not currently attending Texas State.
- Check the status of your Texas State application online at www.admission.txstate.edu. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions notifies applicants by letter of their admission to Texas State and McCoy College.
- Students admitted will be required to attend new student orientation where they will meet with an advisor and register for courses.
Important notes:
- Transfer students who have not completed all courses required to be considered for admission to McCoy College may still be considered for admission to Texas State.
- A student who is admitted to Texas State but denied admission to McCoy College will be considered for admission to his/her second choice major or as undecided. The student may apply to McCoy College via the current student process once they are attending Texas State.

Currently Attending Texas State Students with 30 or more Hours
- Verify that you are eligible to apply. To be eligible, you must have completed/have prior credit for the required courses of ENG 1310, ENG 1320, and MATH 1329, or their equivalents. The grades must be posted to your Texas State transcript. Your performance in these courses along with your overall GPA will be considered in the admission process. See the admission requirements for a complete description.*
- Complete the McCoy College Application for Admission and return it by the deadline to the CenturyTel Advising Center located in 115 McCoy Hall.
- Your application will be processed and you will be notified after the deadline of your admission decision. Applicants who meet automatic admission requirements will be admitted throughout the application acceptance period. Applicants who meet these criteria should check for their major to change on CatsWeb under check registration eligibility. An email is also sent to applicants who meet automatic criteria when their major is changed.

Currently Attending Texas State Students with less than 30 Hours
- Complete the McCoy College Application for Admission and return it by the deadline to the CenturyTel Advising Center located in 115 McCoy Hall.
- Admission will be based on your high school record. See admission requirements for more details.
- Your application will be processed and you will be notified after the deadline of your admission status.

Students Seeking a Second Bachelor's Degree
Applicants must have completed a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in order to be eligible for a second bachelor's degree.
- Submit the second degree contact form to request a second degree evaluation and receive information about degree requirements and special application procedures to McCoy College.
- Fax your previous transcripts from all colleges and universities attened to the CenturyTel Advising Center. Please do this shortly after you have submitted the contact form. The fax number is 512.245.1996. Once your transcripts have been received an advisor will email you with further instructions as soon as possible. You request will not be processed until transcript arrive.
- Apply to Texas State online at www.applytexas.org, and complete any procedures provided by the advisor for McCoy College admission. Please note that you will be required to provide official transcripts to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Admission to Texas State does not constitute admission to McCoy College. Also note that the usual McCoy College deadline does not apply to second degree-seeking students. Please refer to the Texas State general deadlines for admission.
